Dear Mr. Macnee: My husband and I have enjoyed watching the DVD version of the Avengers for the past several years. We own almost every one of the 97 programs, and will purchase the rest as soon as they become available. The shows are worth watching over and over again. We are extremely pleased that your work will be enjoyed and appreciated for generations to come. John Steed rules!! Thank you for bringing him to life.

Mr Macnee, I just wanted to thank you for entertaining my early life. As a child, my favorite show on Saturday mornings was 'The Avengers'. I just couldn't get enough of it. It was good clean fun, and I hope you accept my profound gratitude. May God bless you through the rest of life's journey, Tony

I am a big fan of the Avengers series. It was a wonderful show with imaginative story lines. I always admired John Steed for his style and class and working with such gorgeous women. I also like the fact that the violence on the show was minimal compared to other tv shows at the time. I have to admit that the first women I had a "crush" on was Diana Rigg. She proved that a women could be a feminest but still remain feminine. I have all of the episodes of the series on DVD except for the 1961/1962 seasons. I understand that only one episode survives of the 1961 season (what a shame). I hope that Studio Canal will release the 1962 episodes on Region 1 DVD soon. I have enjoyed the Cathy Gale and Tara King episodes although Mrs. Peel will always remain my favorite.

Dear Mr. MacNee. I just want to say that I have always been an fan of yours. I remember sitting in front of the television set in the mid 1960's waiting to see a new episode of the Avengers with you and Ms. Rigg. Even today my children and I enjoy watching reruns of the Avengers on BBC America. I just want to say thank you for the character that you portrayed and for all the entertainment and enjoyment you continue to bring to this family. Sincerely, Bruce Bender.

Used to love watching The Avengers back in the 60's, especially with John Steed and Emma Peel. I am now 51 and a couple of years ago I put Avengers videos on my christmas list and was pleased to receive some (Mission 1 - 5). Later when trying to order some more from HMV, etc it became impossible to find any - all entries came up as 'Deleted'. Luckily someone locally was selling a set of videos secondhand which I purchased and there were only a few duplicated so I really enjoyed watching them. Since that time I have been searching the internet trying to find out if I could purchase any new on video or dvd to no avail. Recently I did find out that a new series should be available on dvd this year so I await more news as there are quite a few of the episodes with 'Emma Peel' in that I havn't seen. I wasn't so keen on the 'Tara king' series. I just found this website by chance. My daughter showed me you on a music video, acting as a chauffeur, I believe. Best Wishes to you and your family. By the way, I don't think I have seen you on anything else but Avengers. I wonder why the series has never been re-run on British Tv. The Prisoner was recently, which I also enjoyed. Janet Pannell

I very much enjoyed this site and have been a life long fan of Mr. MacNee. I can still remember the first time I saw the Avengers on the TV in '67 or '68 and was blown away by the suaveness of Mr. MacNee and the sexy coolness of Ms. Rigg. This was during the "British Invasion" of the USA and anything British was considered ultra cool. I really enjoyed the show and still do. My thanks to Mr. MacNee for all the enjoyment he brought me all these years. Anything British is still cool to me and I still get a kick out of watching the Evengers on DVD and the Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan. Long Live the Queen!

As one of a generation too young to have seen The Avengers during the original airings, I've been delighted to discover the show recently. Truly superb television, far superior to most that is produced today. I wish the best to Mr Macnee, who is certainly by far one of the most accomplished British actors to have ever practised the art, and I will be certain to seek out more of his work in the future. Thank you, dear sir, for you brilliant contributions to entertainment and, indeed, art.

How wonderful to find this website dedicated to the life and work Patrick Macnee. I have been a fan ever since I originally saw the New Avengers on its first TV Broadcast in the UK (too young for the original series - caught up with that thanks to the miracle of home video in the 90's!), and also maintain that "Blind In One Ear" is the best book ever. Bless you all and keep up the good work!

HOLA, SR. MACNNE, LE ESCRIBO DESDE UN PAIS LEJANO PARA USTED, PARA DECIRLE QUE THE AVENGERS ES MI SERIE FAVORITA, Y QUE YO TAMBIEN SOY ACTOR, Y QUE ALGUNA VEZ CUANDO YO ESTUDIABA TEATRO, ME SIRVIO MUCHO SU ELEGANCIA Y MANEJO DEL PARAGUAS, YA QUE TUVE QUE HACER UNA ESCENA DE LA DAMA DEL PERRITO DE ANTON CHEJOV Y DEBIA MANEJAR UN BASTON CON ELEGANCIA Y ME ACORDE DE UD. Y ESO ME AYUDO A COMPONER MI PERSONAJE. ADEMAS LA SERIE FUE INNOVADORA PORQUE POR PRIMERA VEZ UNA MUJER PELEABA IGUAL QUE UN HOMBRE Y PODIA DEFENDERSE SOLA. POR SUPUESTO QUE TAMBIEN SOY FANATICO DE DIANA RIGG, Y NO ME GUSTO CUANDO PUSIERON A UMMA THURMAN Y RALPH FINNES HACIENDO SUS PERSONAJES EN LA PELICULA THE AVENGERS. Y ESO QUE ELLOS DOS SON BUENOS ACTORES, PERO NO ME GUSTARON PARA NADA. NADIE PODRA HACER LOS VENGADORES COMO UD. Y LA SRA. DIANA RIGG. LE MANDO UN FUERTE ABRAZO Y SIEMPRE LOS RECUERDO CON MUCHO AFECTO A UD. Y A LA SRA. DIANA RIGG.
