One of the most visible aspects of the entertainment industry today is the prevalence of celebrities. In any entertainment medium, be it music, print media, or the film industry, celebrities can be seen. Celebrities are also often the face of the product, so they are the ones who attract the consumer, mainly because of the influence that celebrities have on the public. Celebrities are a rather intriguing invention of the twentieth century, and the purpose of this essay is to look at how a person becomes a star in the world of show business, how they are marketed to audiences, and how these amazing connections with audiences are developed through their marketing and press so that audiences want to see these people on the big screen and in turn pay to see them star.
